Alongside him, Shri. Sivakumar, armed with ambition and a thirst for progress, contributed to the early stages of what would become a pioneering force in the agricultural sector.
In the pivotal year of 1986, Rallis India Limited recognized the potential within Kairu Kadai and entrusted it with distribution rights, paving the way for Nethra's ascent. The subsequent years witnessed the birth of a dedicated team and a robust network of dealers, farmers, and companies united by a common purpose – to serve the agricultural community with unwavering commitment.
As Nethra evolved, so did its vision. The company transitioned from being a distributor to a research-driven entity, acknowledging the critical role of innovation in addressing the dynamic challenges faced by farmers and consumers. The spirit of exploration and discovery led to partnerships with esteemed multinational counterparts like Rallis, HM Clause, Indofil Chemicals, BASF, Bayer, Bejo, among others.

A decade later, in 2013, this dream materialized, marking Nethra's foray into an era of self-sufficiency and pioneering research. Free from external investors, Nethra emerged as a testament to the belief that innovation and sustainability go hand in hand.

When we organized the company in 1943, we could not envision in our most hopeful moments the growth in size and capability that is recorded here. That is because we could not imagine the tremendously gratifying support that our business partners would give our efforts, or the unparalleled cooperation of the farming community, retailers, our bankers, our well wishers, officials and all the others who wanted the best service possible for their communities. We also could not foresee the caliber of people who would become part of our organization over the years. We are blessed with capable, caring professionals who go the extra mile to fulfill our corporate mission and meet their high personal standards. Our growth, which has made us the one of the noticeable seed companies, has been fueled by quality of service. We trust that this quality of service and the reputation that we aim from that service will open doors to bigger opportunities to serve the farming community. Today, we have expanded to all the states of India and also targeting the international markets with some of the best hybrids in Cucurbits, Okra, Hot pepper, melons, Marigold. We have been able to have the master breeders in their own field especially Tomato, Cucumber, hot pepper, Okra, watermelon and others. This will boost the farmer’s income and dealers as well. We are trying our best that our commitments will lead the country towards self sufficiency in the vegetable sector. Our eyes on expansion, heart on service, mind on right work and Integrity as our soul we aspire to reach to every corner of this world.
The Agriculture industry is in a time of transition, and we’re tracking the shake-up very closely. At any given point of time we commit to these 3 points to our associates and our farmers.
We plan to grow with new products, improved marketing strategies that targets the consumers and lower costs.
Our improvement this year were some major introductions in the market like watermelon Shiv, okra Maharaja, Marigold Grand Yellow, Hot Pepper Anushka and some gourds and our crème de la crème still being Cucumber. We are banking on the strategic plans of reducing costs by consolidating locations to sustain.
With a larger effort to know what people value now and what they will desire next, we segment the markets by regions, working towards the future of the vegetable industry. Our R & D, now spear headed by Dr. A T Sadashiva has been working with new hybrids of Tomato Hot pepper, Okra and Tomato that are quite promising in the coming years.
It is our goal to continue to provide a level of service that is recognized nationwide for its superiority, and known locally for our commitment to community. Because, we know life depends on nutritious food and it is the need of the hour.
